During the winter, from mid-February to mid-April, we also catch atlantic cod or, "skrei" as we call it, in the fjords around Stavanger as well as the species we get year around. The spawning Northeast Arctic cod migrates from the Barents Sea to the Norwegian coast, and even though Lofoten is the most famous destination it can  be cought all along the west coast of Norway
